From problem to decision
1. Observe the task
Observe a real task. Do not equate low activity with resistance.
Task, current workflow and the point of friction.
2. Agree on expectations
Clarify benefits, limitations, accountability and recovery from errors.
What does the tool do, what does the person decide, and how are errors corrected?
3. Test one change
Remove one barrier: duplicate input, unclear action or missing feedback. Set an observation period.
Change, participants without names, task-success metric and duration.
4. Compare outcomes
Compare completed tasks, quality and time. Discuss unintended consequences with the team.
What changed, what still blocks progress, and what next step was agreed?
How to judge whether it helped
You should leave with a document that supports a decision and a next action. Completing steps does not guarantee a commercial result. Measure the chosen change separately over an agreed period. If evidence is missing, state that and plan how to collect it.
How this differs from S01–S13
This is a user route for a specific problem. The GRI AI research stages S01–S13 and the 13-week programme remain in the library as separate methodological work. This route is not a validated GRI diagnostic scale.
